How We Use AI
On this page
TCPA.com uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist with research and writing. Everything we publish is reviewed and edited by people before it goes live.
Research assistance
AI tools may assist in retrieving, organizing and summarizing source material, including statutes, regulations, agency orders and court opinions. The output of AI tools is never used as a source. Our sourcing standards apply however a draft is prepared: legal statements should be supported by a primary source, and each guide, case page, article and research guide lists its sources. See our Editorial Policy.
Writing assistance
AI tools may assist with drafting, editing and making legal language more accessible. Any text an AI tool helps produce is treated as a draft, not a finished page.
Human review
Each page is reviewed and edited by a person before it is published. People determine what we cover and what we publish, and they are responsible for the final product. If you find an error, please let us know through our Contact page.
AI and telephone law
This page describes our content-production process. It does not address the legal issue of AI-generated voices in telephone calls. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ruled in February 2024 that AI-generated voices are "artificial" voices under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). See Autodialers and Artificial Voice.
Changes to this page
Our tools and processes may change over time. When they do, we will update this page.
